Our club’s annual gala and presentation evening brought together swimmers, families, and supporters for a day full of competition and celebration. This event is a highlight of the year, showcasing the dedication and skill of our swimmers across all strokes and relay races. The energy was high as three teams battled it out in the pool, and the evening continued with a memorable presentation ceremony and social gathering at Boringdon Park Golf Club.

Competitive Spirit Shines in the Pool

The day began with a spirited competition that divided the club into three teams. Each team competed in every stroke category, including freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly, medleys, and relays. The overall champions were the team named Cheese and Crackers, who demonstrated great resilience to come from behind at the half-way point. Their teamwork and determination earned them the top spot, but every participant’s effort was commendable and contributed to the excitement of the gala.

After the swimming events, the club moved to Boringdon Park Golf Club for the evening presentation. This change of scenery provided a relaxed atmosphere to recognise the achievements of our senior swimmers.
